Express Center

Flughafen Schönefeld

About 12,300 tonnes of air cargo were transshipped at former Schoenefeld Airport (+32%) last year. This growth is first and foremost a result of the integrators flying from their European hubs to Berlin and beyond to Poland. The German Red Cross (DRK) sent charter flights  from its emergency centre at Schoenefeld Airport to deliver medicines and equipment for the victims of natural disasters.

Integrators - and Red Cross handling at the Express Center

Express Center

With the opening of BER cargo handling of pure freighters (integrators and Red Cross) will be concentrated at the Express Center located in Schoenefeld/North which has a capacity of 30,000 tonnes a year.

FedEx just started their operations at enlarged handling area of former TNT Express. UPS will set up their own handling facility between FedEx and Red Cross until end of the year and then move from Cargo Center to Express Center next year.
