Passenger and staff travel to the airport

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has an underground railway station with six platforms located directly beneath the terminal building. The convenient location of the station means that passengers using the local S-Bahn services, regional and intercity trains have only a short walk to reach the terminal: it takes only five minutes to get from the station to the check-in counters.

This excellent integration of BER in the Deutsche Bahn network will help us to achieve our aim of getting one in two passengers to travel to the airport on public transport. The Airport Express bus takes just over half an hour from the centre of Berlin to BER. The Airport Shuttle, a special train service, will also connect Berlin Brandenburg Airport with the city centre. Numerous S-Bahn and bus services round off the public transport travel options. With train services to Poland and the Czech Republic, the railway also provides international landside connections from BER.

As a contribution to climate protection, the airport operator is committed to ensuring that all employees can travel to their workplace in an environmentally sustainable way. Since July 2012, all the company’s employees have been offered a corporate ticket for the regional public transport network.
