Icelandair increases number of flights to Iceland

Reykjavik is now even better connected to Berlin. Icelandair now flies six times a week to the most northern capital city in Europe. The flights take off daily - except Mondays - at 14:05 from Berlin-Tegel and land around three and a half hours later at 15:40, on the land of fire and ice. In the opposite direction, the flight from Keflavik International Airport is provided in the mornings at 7:40. The arrival time is 13:05 at Berlin-Tegel. The route will mainly be operated by the brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8.

The new aircraft are not only visually appealing, they use around 20% less fuel and the powerful engines are 40% quieter in comparison to the previous models. At the same time, it is equipped with all the comfort which Icelandair passengers have grown accustomed to. In addition, as part of the on-board entertainment system, there is Wi-Fi access from the departure airport until the destination airport and plenty of legroom. Icelandair has continuously upgraded their fleet and in the next few years will take a total of 16 Boeing 737 MAXs in operation.
