300. Flugzeug von Easy Jet

On 21st June, a new plane from easyJet in its typical orange-coloured paintwork is being welcomed at Berlin Tegel airport. The Airbus A320-214 is a former airberlin aeroplane which has been transferred over to the easyJet fleet. The plane will fly the new route from Tegel to Cologne/Bonn. With the despatch of the 300th aeroplane, 10 of the 18 aircraft stationed at Berlin Tegel are now easyJet aircraft. In addition to that, easyJet have hired so-called wet-leased aircraft, in order to support the expansion of the flight schedule at Tegel Airport during the transitional period ending in November 2018.

In the coming months, easyJet will welcome hundreds of new staff to the easyJet family at Berlin Tegel, among them there are numerous former airberlin employees. Already more than 350 former airberlin employees (150 pilots and 200 cabin crew) fly for the airline and another 70 (36 pilots and 34 cabin crew) will begin working at easyJet next week. easyJet expects to employ more than 420 former airberlin employees by September 2018. The recruitment and training procedure is certainly still unfinished. easyJet is looking to increase their cabin crews and invite interested applicants to their recruitment days in Berlin on 3rd and 4th July 2018.
