With the start of the autumn holidays, the Schönefeld und Tegel airports can once again expect a high volume of traffic. Passengers are advised to check information on their flight status and baggage online or by telephone before they fly, and to use the free online check-in service offered by many airlines. Passengers will still be asked to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their departure time and to pass through security checks as quickly as possible.
In the two holiday weeks to 4 November 2018, more than 1.9 million passengers are expected to fly to and from Berlin.

WhatsApp Cleaning Service

The airport company has introduced a new cleaning service. Passengers can use WhatsApp to report a problem which needs immediate attention. This enables the cleaning team to react more quickly and accurately. The person reporting the problem will be informed as soon as it has been sorted out.

The service is available from Monday to Friday at both airports from 6:00 to 21:00.

Berlin-Tegel Airport

By public transport
Due to the strain on parking and the high volume of traffic at Berlin Tegel Airport, passengers are asked to leave their cars at home and travel by taxi or public transport. Various bus and express lines operated by BVG (Berlin transport service) integrate Tegel Airport into the Berlin public transport network very well. The airport is in tariff zone B. Bus stops are located directly in front of Terminals A and B.
