New Lufthansa service

11.10.2019

Lufthansa passengers at Tegel can now drop off their luggage independently. Four self-service bag drop machines have been installed in Terminal B. Passengers who have already checked in and are in possession of a boarding pass can use the new bag drop machines. Only those travelling with excess or special luggage should still go to the luggage check-in desk. The service is intended to significantly reduce check-in waiting times.

How it works:

  1. Scan the boarding pass, check the flight data on the screen and select “Drop-off luggage”.
  2. Attach the self-adhesive luggage tag to the piece of luggage.
  3. Scan the barcode of the luggage tag and place the luggage on the conveyor belt.
  4. Confirm luggage has been taken away.
  5. Take the receipt for your checked luggage baggage and keep it in a safe place until you get it back at your destination.
