Azerbaijan Airlines resumes flights to Baku

Welcome back! Azerbaijan Airlines once again connects Berlin with Azerbaijan’s capital Baku. The weekly route will resume from 17 July. The planes of Azerbaijan’s national airline take off from Berlin-Tegel every Friday at 4 pm and land in Baku at 10:30 pm. The flight coming back leaves Baku at 11:00 am and reaches Tegel at 1:55 pm. The flight time is 3.5 hours. The planes used are the Airbus A319 or A320.

Located on the west coast of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan’s capital is the largest city in the country. It is the economic, political and cultural centre as well as an important transport hub. The city has an important oil port due to its central location in Azerbaijan’s oil-producing region. The destination is currently particularly interesting for business travellers and ethnic transport.

Information for our passengers

There is a general travel warning in place for travelling to countries outside the European Union until 31 August 2020. Therefore, travellers are encouraged to find out about any current travel restrictions and information in the respective country before starting their journey.

Furthermore, passengers are also asked to arrive two hours before departure and to look at the changed processes at Berlin Airports before their flight. At both airports, passengers must wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose in the terminals and observe the general distancing and hygiene rules. Due to changed processes at the security checkpoints, each passenger is only allowed to carry one piece of hand luggage.
