Do you know where amber country is? From the end of October, the Russian airline RusLine will be flying there from Tegel, for the first time. This autumn, new routes from Berlin to Eastern Europe are being made available by LOT and Wizz Air. Of course you could always take a walk amongst the gold and red trees, or fly a kite in Brandenburg as well. But would you prefer to enjoy the season in Central Park, New York? Lufthansa can take you there. In autumn, Berlin glows brighter and more beautifully than ever, almost as much as the Big Apple. Why? Keep reading to discover this and much, much more in our latest newsletter.

Qatar Airways has increased the capacity for flights between Berlin-Tegel and Doha and since 1st September, has begun use of a B777-300ER. The Airline reacts to the increasing demand, ensuring increased travel-comfort in the process. The duration of the flight to the capital city of Qatar is five and a half hours. Doha is situated directly on the Persian Gulf, at the edge of a desert and is sure to impress with its high buildings and deep urban canyons. Many of the traditional buildings, which are only a few years old and symbolise the heritage of Qatar, stand in stark contrast to much of the modern architecture found in the city. The Souq Waqif market however is over 100 years old and entices with carpets, clothes and falconry shows.

The days are getting shorter and autumn has fallen over the capital. The city is made all the more beautiful, especially starting 29th September, because it's that time of year again: "Berlin leuchtet“. The "Berlin Light Weeks“ run until 15th October. Parallel to these celebrations, from the 6th until the 15th October, the „Festival of Lights“ will be taking place. The two organisers for the spectacle of lights immerse Berlin's most famous buildings in colourful illuminations, every day from 19:00 until midnight –projections and light installations being designed by different artists. Both organisers offer tours as well as events.
