Goodbye winter blues and hello spring time! What a beautiful time to fly away on a holiday. Take a peek at the summer flight plan, which will be offering lots of attractive destinations form the 25th March. You can soon discover 23 new destinations from Tegel with esayJet. How about Alicante, Biarritz or Corfu? Or even a little further afield? In May, Delta Air Lines will once again be offering their non-stop flight between New York and Berlin. As usual, with this newsletter we would like to invite you to browse the new routes form Schönefeld and Tegel as well as get-away tips for Berlin and Brandenburg.

ITB Berlin 2018: Catch us at the travel fair

Where else, other than ITB Berlin, can you get inspired by wonderful new holiday destination? From 7th until 11th March, the world's largest travel fair presents the most beautiful destinations with exhibitors from more than 180 countries. We'll be there at stand 101 in the Berlin-Brandenburg hall 12. Be sure to come and visit. It's worth it: At our stand, on the public days you can print postcards with your own photo and backgrounds such as SXF or TXL airport or long-haul destinations like Toronto. With a bit of luck, you could win an iPhone X or one of five Fujifilm instax Square SQ10 W instant cameras. From Wednesday until Friday, the fair is open for traders and at the weekend, it's open to all visitors.

Up & Away

Fly non-stop to the Big Apple with Delta Air Lines

Fans of New York can celebrate: From May 2018, Broadway, Time Square and the Statue of Liberty are going to be even more accessible from Berlin. Delta Air Lines is once again flying non-stop to the Big Apple. In the flight plan, the long-distance flight will be running from Tegel daily. The first aeroplane will be taking off on the 5th May at 1:35pm and landing at JFK Airport at 4:45pm the same day. The return flight starts at 9:10pm and reaches the German capital at 11:40am the following day. The plane used for this connection will be a Boeing 767-300. Passengers in "Delta One" business class enjoy amenities including a horizontal flat-bed seat and fine dining. At the travel hub that is New York, convenient flight connections are available to more than 60 destinations in North and Latin America as well as the Caribbean.

All we want is summer: 95 easyJet destinations from Berlin

Perhaps it'll be the raw beauty of Biarritz? Maybe the lively night life of Alicante? Or the Nordic serenity of Göteborg? Amongst the total of 95 easyJet connections from Berlin this summer, there's guaranteed to be something for you. easyJet is flying to 42 destinations from Tegel and the rest from Schönefeld. The British airline's loaded summer flight plan offers both popular holiday destinations in Europe as well as domestic flights to Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Munich and a new connection to Cologne-Bonn. Destinations such as Corfu, Faro and Minorca are included amongst the 22 international newcomer destinations from Tegel. For city breaks we recommend destinations such as Graz, Oslo or Venice. Now all that's left to do: check your diary and book your flights.

Follow the sun with TUI fly from Tegel

One way to the sunny beach please. All aboard for TUI fly. The popular charter carrier with a 'smile' will be flying direct from Tegel to the sunny South. The Berlin airline will connect guests direct with Hurghada, Corfu, Crete, Kos, Rhodes, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Las Palmas/Gran Canaria. With TUI you can choose between the 'pure' and 'perfect' tariffs. With the pure tariff, you only pay for the flight and can book services individually. Extras such as luggage and food are included in the perfect tariff.

Listen up: The MaerzMusik Festival in Berlin

The March MaerzMusik Festival is for musicians what the Berlinale was for film fans in February. The music festival is taking place from 16th until 25th March in the Berliner Festspiele building and in other venues. Visitors can enjoy 30 events with artists from around the world, amongst them concerts, performances and installations. The idea is to showcase current music in irregular formats. A highlight of the festival is the +30 hour piano installation in Martin-Gropius-Bau. Also in Kraftwerk, the 30-hour non-stop electronic live act "The Long Now" will be performed. Visitors can stay for the entire time. Beds will be available.

Kicking off the season at Schloss Neuhardenberg

The wonderful, classical ensemble of the castle, park and Schinkel Church alone is enough to take a trip into the surrounding areas of Berlin. However, the Schloss Neuhardenberg, situated just east of Berlin has even more to offer: On 16th March, the cultural programme of a rich variety of readings, performances and theatre productions begins. Classical, pop and jazz concert as well as various exhibitions make up the summer of culture. Particularly interesting for fans of aviation: For the traditional Neuhardenberg-Nacht on 2nd June, everything revolves around the dream on flying. Six theatre artists compete with their fantastic flying machines. The audience votes for their favourite.
