Art at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport

An airport is an excellent place for presenting art. This interface displays borders being crossed between national and international, land and air, anticipation and the pain of farewells, waiting and awaiting. Art at Berlin Brandenburg Airport picks up on the crossing of these imaginary and specific borders in all of their facets and presents them in a wide variety of manners at various, selected places.

“The Magic Carpet” by Pae White

The Magic Carpet was created by the Californian artist Pae White and hovers under the ceiling of the Check-in hall at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. This magic carpet covers an area of almost 1,000 m² and radiates in a warm and strong red.
