New: Fly with clickair to Barcelona

Europe's latest low-cost airline officially launches Berlin–Barcelona route
Today, the newly founded Spanish low-cost airline clickair officially launched the Berlin Tegel and Barcelona route. A modern Airbus A320 will be operated daily on the new route. Flights from Barcelona will depart at 10.20 a.m., arriving at Tegel at 12.40 p.m. Flights from Tegel will depart at 1.15 p.m., landing in Barcelona at 3.35 p.m.

Dr. Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports: "Interest in Berlin and Barcelona is undiminished, as can be seen from the number of passengers in both directions. Its unique architecture and cultural diversity alone makes Barcelona highly attractive to many people. Berlin on the other hand is Europe's new, trendsetting capital, fascinating many a young Spaniard. This new connection is a welcome addition to the existing connections and improves travel opportunities between the two cities enormously."

The Commercial Director of clickair, Bernhard A. Krupka, on the new destination: "Berlin has become a trendy destination in Spain. clickair is Europa's latest low-cost airline. The company started operations on 1 October 2006. clickair was founded by the Spanish airline Iberia and four other major Spanish airlines. It operates flights on all routes in the code share with Iberia. Clickair estimates a passenger volume of around 10 million by the end of 2008.
