"We are delighted that Jet2 has integrated the German capital of Berlin into its flight schedule. This shows that Berlin is a highly attractive and trendy destination. Both business travellers and tourists alike now have the option of flying from Tegel or Schoenefeld to Manchester", says Burkhard Kieker, Head of Marketing at Berlin Airports. "Jet2's entry onto the Berlin air transportation market increases the number of low-cost airlines in Berlin to a total of 15, only nine of which are operating from Schoenefeld", adds Kieker.
Jet2 is operating a Boeing 737-300 on this route and aims to increase its flights successively as of July from an initial four to six flights a week, flying daily, except Saturdays. Planes will be departing from Manchester at 2.30 p.m. and landing in Schoenefeld at 5.30 p.m., returning from Schoenefeld at 6 p.m. and arriving in Manchester at 7 p.m.
