Following a year of abstinence, the Belarusian airline BELAVIA is resuming the Berlin–Minsk connection. Three flights a week will be operated to the capital of Belarus from Schoenefeld on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing from SXF on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2.35 p.m. and landing in Minsk at 5.35 p.m. The Sunday flight will take off at 5 p.m., landing in Minsk at 8 p.m. A modern Canadair jet with 50 seats, 10 of which are in Business Class, will be operated on this route.

Dr. Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Airports, on resuming the connection: "We are delighted that BELAVIA has decided to resume flights between the two capitals. The new connection is an additional enrichment to an already attractive route network to Eastern and Central Europe. Berlin is increasingly developing into a hub in the up-and-coming economic regions in Eastern Europe.“

BELAVIA's general representative in Germany, Igor Zayats says, "The Berlin–Minsk connection is a long-standing tradition. We made the right to decision to resume flights on this route with a modern jet. Initial booking figures are already very pleasing. I am sure that the Berlin route will become a favourite. BELAVIA will also be offering cheap connecting flights from Minsk to Kazakhstan during the summer season."
