Exhibition shows how BBI impacts the region
The Capital Airport BBI is today being presented to the public at a new exhibition in Brandenburg parliament. The focus of the exhibition is on highlighting the positive impact the billion-euro infrastructure project will have on the region of Berlin-Brandenburg. The exhibition will also show what progress is being made on the construction site, and take a look at what lies ahead in the lead-up to its opening in 2011.

Gunter Fritsch, president of the state parliament: "I am delighted that our state parliament is hosting an exhibition on a project which specifically represents the metropolitan area of Berlin-Brandenburg. I hope visitors will flock to learn more about this key investment project."

Thomas Weyer, BBI/Technical Director of Berlin Airports: "The new Capital Airport BBI is an influential project for the whole of Berlin and Brandenburg. Over 80 per cent of investments in the construction of BBI flow directly into the region. 40,000 new jobs will be created by the airport job machine. We aim to make the general public aware of these diverse aspects."

The Brandenburg parliament in Potsdam is the first of many different stops on this presentation at home and abroad. The exhibition in the foyer of the parliament is open to the public from 13 March 2008, Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
