Exhibition opening: BBI in the Senate Government for Town Planning

Presentation of the most important future project of the metropolitan region
Today was the start of the presentation of the new Capital Airport Berlin Brandenburg International BBI in the exhibition “Airport BBI – The new airport for Berlin and Brandenburg” in the atrium of Berlin’s public Senate Government for Town Planning. The exhibition focuses on the positive effects of the billion-euro infrastructure project for the German metropolitan region. Furthermore, it will present the current status of the construction work and provide an outlook for the next few years up until the opening in 2011.

In 2008, Berlin Airports has come a whole lot closer to the completion of the new Capital Airport BBI. The first raw construction section of the BBI station has been completed, the construction work for the heart of the new airport, the BBI Terminal, began on 11 July 2008. With the BBI exhibition, the new Capital Airport is presenting itself to all Berliners and providing information on the economic significance of the BBI for the German metropolitan region and job prospects, as well as on the progress at the BBI building site.

The exhibition “Airport BBI – The new airport for Berlin and Brandenburg” is open from 7 October to 3 November, Mondays to Saturdays from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
