Investment tenders invited for developments in the BBI Airport City
13.08.09 13:22The contracts will be awarded after a two-part tendering procedure:
- The Competition Phase. Interested investors and companies can submit an application.
- The Offer Phase. Participants from the first phase will be invited to negotiations and asked to submit a final, binding offer.
The contracts for the developments are due to be awarded at the beginning of 2010; each contract will be based on a ground lease with an obligation to build.
A brief summary of the development details: the 4-star hotel with adjacent conference and congress centre will have around 300 bedrooms. The hotel and the office complexes will each be built on a plot approx. 4,300m² in size. Building heights have been set at around 21m. The cargo centre plot is 30,000m² in size.
The BBI Airport City will be located directly in front of the terminal of the new BBI Airport. This urbane new service complex is being developed on a 16-hectare plot. Investors will be able to choose from a number of variable plots aligned along a central plaza and will be asked to develop buildings with five or six storeys. Altogether, up to 148,000m² of gross floor area can be created here. The outstanding, exceptionally convenient location and the excellent infrastructure links put the new BBI Airport City firmly in the top category of new development opportunities.
