Regulations on night flights and noise protection can be viewed at the airportworld bbi / Experts on hand to answer questions
Since 4 January 2010, the planning supplement Noise Protection at BBI has been presented for public viewing at the airportworld bbi, to coincide with the public presentation of the documents at the offices of the public authorities and local councils. Residents from the areas around the new airport are welcome to come in between now and 15 January and find out more about the new regulations on night flights and noise protection.

Background information: on 20 October 2009 the planning office at the Ministry for Infrastructure of the State of Brandenburg published the planning supplement decision for the “Noise Protection Concept for BBI”. Prior to this, the federal administrative court had given final approval for Schoenefeld Airport to be extended to become the new BBI airport and had stipulated several improvements to the noise protection plan.

Staff at the airportworld bbi will be happy to answer all questions about the 260-page decision. As an additional service visitors can also view large-format maps detailing all the protection and compensation zones.

airportworld bbi is open during the winter months from Monday to Friday between 10.00 and 18.00 hrs (airportworld bbi; Berlin Airports’ visitor centre Flughafen Schoenefeld, 12521 Berlin). The visitor helpline is also available during these hours on 030 6091-2070.
