Service information for passengers
The airport company apologises for any inconvenience caused to passengers as a result of the current situation at Schönefeld and Tegel Airport: please allow extra time – especially in Tegel – to get to and through the airport. Note: as only a limited number of parking spaces are available, please use public transport.
All restaurants, shops and services such as car rental and Lost & Found will continue to be available at the existing airports until the new airport opens. Both locations will thus continue to cater to all the daily travel needs of passengers.

Tips for all those staying at home:
Airport tours and Infotower
It is still possible to visit the BER construction site. The Infotower is open daily during the summer from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. (10 a.m.–4 p.m. during the winter), tours of BER Airport are also available again. These can be booked by calling +49 30 6091-77770 or at www.berlin-airport.de. Airport tours depart from the bus stop outside of airportworld, the former visitors' centre opposite Schönefeld train station. Staff of the visitors' centre can still be reached in person or by telephone in the Infotower on +49 30 6091-77777.
A day at the airport
The airport company is once again inviting all children to its summer holiday promotion. Together with their parents, grandparents or friends, children can experience a day at Schönefeld Airport and enjoy the view from the Infotower. Holiday care organisers and individuals are also very welcome.
The day at the airport begins at 9.30 a.m. at airportworld. Breakfast is followed by a visit to the federal police, the airport's fire service and the Lufthansa aircraft hangar, amongst others. Children will also be taken on a bus tour of Schönefeld Airport, visit the airport terminal and go on the visitors' terrace – where they will have a bird's-eye view of the aircraft. The day at the airport ends at around 3 p.m. The summer holiday promotion is held weekdays from 22 June until 3 August 2012 and costs €19 per person – including breakfast and lunch. Participants must book in advance. Reservations can be made from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. by calling +49 30 6091-77770.
