The ILA starts tomorrow / New exhibition grounds at BER
10.09.12 14:10Tomorrow marks the start of the International Aerospace Exhibition ILA. For the first time, the ILA is being held on the new exhibition grounds of the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport to the west of Berlin Brandenburg Airport. More than 1,200 exhibitors are expected.
Prof. Dr. Rainer Schwarz, CEO of Berlin Brandenburg Airport: "The ILA is the showcase for aerospace expertise in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. We are delighted that the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport is now a direct neighbour of Berlin Brandenburg Airport. The new location is perfect for hosting a successful ILA."
First planes land at the ILA
The first aircraft for the ILA started landing on the south runway of Berlin Brandenburg Airport last Thursday – special permission was given to use the runway before the official opening of the airport. Flying displays organised by the ILA will also take off from the south runway.
