Terminal C at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport

Terminal C at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport is the starting point for tours of the airport and the meeting point for visitors. This passenger terminal, located between Terminals A and D, has newly opened following refurbishment and is now operated by Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. A small exhibition informs visitors about Berlin’s airports and the theme of travel. A colourful kids’ corner provides fun activities for our youngest guests as well.

Infotower summer opening times

The Infotower at BER is now open again every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Situated in the immediate vicinity of the terminal, this observation tower provides a fantastic view over the BER site, which covers about the same area as 2,000 soccer pitches. During good weather you can see as far as Berlin, and you can even clearly make out the television tower on Alexanderplatz. The visitor pavilion directly next to the Infotower provides information about Berlin Brandenburg Airport. No booking is required to enter the Infotower – admission costs two euros, or one euro at the reduced rate. Admission for children aged under six is free of charge.

Airport tours with various stopping-off points

No matter whether BER or SXF: anyone who wants to know more about the airport can take a visitor tour that provides a look behind the scenes. These guided BER tours give visitors an overview of the entire airport site. The tour route crosses the apron, passes by the terminal, the airport’s operational buildings, the new southern runway and the control tower operated by Deutsche Flugsicherung. Each tour features different stopping-off points where visitors can leave the bus to take a look around.

The tours of Schönefeld Airport give a good insight into the comings and goings at the airport. The bus travels round the entire airport site, also going past the runway where visitors have a close-up view of the aircraft taking off and landing. The tour also includes the airport fire service and the Lufthansa maintenance base. The tours of Schönefeld Airport are designed for schoolchildren. The range of services for children is completed by terminal tours for kindergarten groups and by birthday parties.

The tours can be booked by calling 030 6091-77770 or through the internet at www.berlin-airport.de.
