Pobeda flies to Moscow Berlin Tegel’s new airline

Pobeda Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aeroflot, takes up the flight operations in Berlin Tegel today. From now on the Russian airline will connect Berlin with the airport Moscow-Vnukovo twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday.
A Boeing 737-800 will be used for the flight. The flight time between the two capitals is about two and a half hours. The connection is just as promising for holiday, city and business travels.


Moscow is not only politically the centre of Russia, but also economically and culturally. Over 12 million inhabitants live in the city on the Moskva and more than 16 million in the greater surrounding area. Thanks to its central location, the conurbation is one of the most important transport hubs in the country. It is also the largest domestic market of Russia, with the highest performing economy, characterised by stable economic growth. Germany is one of Moscow’s most important trade partners.

From a tourist perspective, the multi-facetted, cosmopolitan metropolis is definitely worth a visit. Moscow is perfect for a city break or as the starting point for larger travels in Russia. Some of the most famous sights are the Red Square with the nine churches that form Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the Moscow Kremlin, the Lenin Mausoleum, The Bolshoi Theatre, numerous museums and galleries, the largest department store in the country(GUM) and the imposing underground stations of the Moscow Metro.

Moscow-Vnukovo Airport

Moscow-Vnukovo airport lies about 12km south-west of Moscow. It is the closest airport to central Moscow. An express train transports passengers and visitors in 35 minutes to the Kiyevskaya railway station – one of the main transport links in central Moscow.


The affordable airline Podeba was founded in 2014 and flies to a total of 45 destinations with 18 Boeing 373-800s. Travellers from Berlin and Brandenburg can travel via Moscow-Vnukovo to numerous destinations within Russia.
