Career Opportunities in the Airport Region: Experts in business, science and politics discuss securing skilled labour

To mark the tenth anniversary of the Airport Campus lecture series, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH and Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Dahme-Spreewald mbH are sending out invitations during the anniversary semester for a large panel discussion on the topic of “Securing skilled labour in the airport region”.

Dr. Manfred Bobke-von Camen (Chief Human Resources Officer at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH), Prof. Ulrike Tippe (President of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau), Dr. Alexandra Bläsche (Head of the Department of Vocational Training, Expert Policy at the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family of the State of Brandenburg) and Heinz-Wilhelm Müller (Chairman of the Management of the Employment Agency Cottbus) will discuss the following aspects among others on Thursday, 8 November 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Aerospace Technology Centre in Wildau: What qualifications are required for Berlin-Brandenburg as an aviation location? What attracts highly specialised professionals to the airport region? Where can synergies between education, research and industry be exploited? And what political framework conditions promote location marketing?

HR specialist Simon De Maeseneer (General Manager of Brussels Airport House) will give a keynote speech on successful strategies for recruiting personnel in the Brussels airport region. The recruiting team at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH will have a Career Point at the Aerospace Centre from 5.30 p.m. onwards, where those who are interested can find out about recruitment and career development opportunities in the airport company.

The free event is aimed at students from universities in the catchment area of the new capital city airport BER as well as representatives of local companies in Berlin-Brandenburg. Other interested parties are also welcome to attend. To participate in the event, you are required to register informally by sending an email to airportcampus@berlin-airport.de.
