As of yesterday, more space has been provided at Tegel Airport for passengers arriving from high-risk areas who wish to be tested for coronavirus. Since Monday, the corona testing station has been located in Terminal D. Employees of Charité and Vivantes carry out tests daily from 8am to 9pm in an area of around 1,400 square metres.

Schönefeld Airport has been conducting tests for corona for passengers returning from high-risk areas since last Thursday (06.08.) in an area of around 1,300 square metres in terminal area M, also between the hours of 8am and 9pm.

The employees of Charité and Vivantes receive administrative support from the Federal Armed Forces as well as organisational and medical support from aid organisations.

In accordance with the regulation of the Federal Ministry of Health, tests for travellers arriving from high-risk areas have been compulsory since last Saturday. Further opportunities for testing for travellers without symptoms that return from high-risk areas are additionally offered by all panel doctors in Berlin.
