Purpose of data processing
Data processing shall take place exclusively in connection with the use of our careers portal when applying for job vacancies, the creation and maintenance of an applicant profile and the transfer of applicant data in the event of recruitment.
Your data shall only be used for the vacancies you have selected. If you have issued your consent within your profile settings (or during the registration process) to being contacted about new job vacancies or for the use of the applicant profile by our employees within the recruitment team, your data shall be used by our recruitment team to find interesting new job vacancies within our company and to inform you about them.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of the use of the FBB careers portal is Article 6 (1) (a) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data processing shall be based on your consent.
You may withdraw your consent to data processing at any time with effect for the future, and object to the processing and use of your personal data. Should you withdraw your consent, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised. If data deletion is not possible due to legal or other retention requirements, your personal data will be blocked. We kindly ask for your understanding that users who have withdrawn their consent to the processing and use of their personal data will no longer be able to use the FBB services offered here.
What data do we process?
Candidate profile:
In order to register on the FBB careers portal, each user must create a candidate profile. A candidate profile consists of at least the following information:
Salutation
First name
Last name
E-mail address
Curriculum vitae
Street / house number
Place
Postcode
Country
Telephone number
Date of birth
Question about severe disability
Relevant certificates
Details of your last professional role
Cancellation period
Details of your highest level of education
Language skills
Details pertaining to an aviation security check
Driving licence details
If you do not delete data in your candidate profile at an earlier stage, this data will be stored for up to 2 years. This period shall begin anew with each instance of registration. If you have posted an active application in the careers portal when the retention period expires, this retention period shall be extended until this application expires.
Application data
Data contained in a candidate profile shall also serve as the basic data for every application that you initiate via the careers portal.
In order to make it easier for you to apply for different jobs, you can add further application data to your profile. We have provided corresponding data fields for you to fill in yourself. You can also upload documents to the careers portal. All the information you provide will be saved for you in the careers portal as a candidate profile
In addition to the general profile, we shall also ask you certain questions relating to the specific position for which you are applying as part of each application. We shall use this data exclusively for recruiting for this one position.
Data provision
If you have submitted an application via the careers portal, during the course of the application selection process, the responsible employees within the HR department and the specialist department that advertised the vacancy – as well as members of the works council or the equal opportunities officer and, if applicable, the disabled persons’ representative – shall receive temporary access to the data you have provided that is required for the application process. Your data shall then remain in the careers portal and can, therefore, be accessed at any time.
Data storage & data deletion
The information you provided in the course of an application process will be stored for up to 4 months after rejection of the application or completion of the application process, whichever occurs first, unless other statutory retention periods apply.
Subsequent to the expiration of this period, the personal data relating to a job advertisement shall be deleted.
Your career profile data shall be stored for a period of 2 years from the end of the application process or the last time you used your career profile and will then be deleted.
Change of applicant data
The candidate profile and application data shall be processed exclusively by the respective account user (applicant). It remains, therefore, your responsibility to check that the data you provide is accurate and correct.
Should changes become apparent later in the application process, for example, to the questions “Are you currently an internal employee of FBB?” and “Do you have a severe disability?”, the recruiters at FBB can make changes to the application in consultation with the applicant.
You may access, change and delete your profile data stored in the careers portal in your candidate profile at any time. The corresponding host of functions are provided to you systemically, and are labelled accordingly.
It is possible to change your application data for a specific job advertisement until it is received by FBB.
Further rights of data subjects
In addition to the deletion of data and the revocation of the declaration of consent as described above, you shall have the right, in accordance with the prevailing legal provisions:
- to request the disclosure of information about the processing of your personal data. In this context, you shall also have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that is the subject of the processing (Article 15 GDPR);
- to obtain, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you or to have incomplete personal data completed (Article 16 GDPR);
- to demand the immediate erasure of your personal data, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfilment of the purpose for which it was collected or there is otherwise a reason for erasure, and there are no obstacles to erasure, such as statutory retention periods (Article 17 GDPR)
- to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data (Article 18 GDPR).
- You shall also have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us – which we process in an automated process on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 a) GDPR or for the initiation and performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 b) GDPR – in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to third parties. You shall also have the right to request that your personal data be transmitted by us to third parties, where technically feasible. This right shall not apply if the rights and freedoms of other persons are affected by said transfer (Article 20 GDPR).
Finally, you shall have the right to lodge a complaint with any supervisory authority of your choice, in particular, in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you by us infringes the legal provisions. Further administrative or judicial remedies to which you may be entitled shall remain unaffected by this (Article 77 GDPR).
